The color card is the embodiment of the color existing in nature in a certain material. Of course, the color card standards applied between different countries and regions and different industries are not consistent. 1. Pantone color card


PANTONE color card is an international standard color card. It is commonly called Pantone in Chinese. The application range of this color card covers printing, textiles, plastics, graphics, digital technology and other fields. It is one of the more commonly used color standards for the exchange of color information today. The special color card for the textile industry is the PANTONE TX card, which is divided into PANTONE TPG (paper card) and PANTONE TCX (cotton card). And PANTONE C card and U card are also used more in the printing industry.


2. CNCS color card


Since 2001, China Textile Information Center has undertaken the "China Applied Color Research Project" of the Ministry of Science and Technology and established the CNCS color system. After that, extensive color research was carried out, and color information was collected through the trend research department of the center, China Fashion Color Association, foreign partners, buyers, designers, etc., and market research was carried out. After several years of hard work, the first version of the color system was developed, and the materials and processes used were determined. The 7-digit number of CNCS color card, the first 3 digits are hue, the middle 2 digits are lightness, and the last 2 digits are chroma.


3. RAL color card


RAL refers to the German Raul color card, which is mainly the European color card standard and is widely used internationally. This color card is widely used in coatings, paints, plastics and other industries. The RAL classic series has a total of 213 colors, of which 188 are body colors, 2 are mica iron colors, 5 are bright colors, and 15 are pearl colors. Each of the colors in this classic series has a certain meaning and is not just popular trend.


Simply put, the RAL color card is a reference standard for colors. It is the embodiment of a certain color in nature on the chart tool. The designer can choose the color according to the color card and then hand it over to the manufacturing department for production. Through a unified reference standard, color selection, comparison, and communication can be achieved. At present, there are many brands of color cards. 4. Munsell color card


This color card is named after the American colorist Munsell. The Munsell color system has been revised repeatedly and has become one of the recognized standard color systems in the color world.


5. NCS color card


NCS research began in 1611 and has now become the national inspection standard in Sweden, Norway, Spain and other countries, and is a very widely used color system in Europe. The NCS color card can identify the fundamental characteristics of colors, such as blackness, chroma, whiteness and hue through color numbers.
